Our Board

We are indebted to our Board of Directors who volunteer their time and expertise to help us achieve our mission.

The Board of Directors is elected each year at the Annual General Meeting. The board consists of Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Directors.

The Board of Directors represent the interests of all members and is entrusted with responsibility for securing the continued well being and growth of the organisation. The Board of Directors has an overriding responsibility to ensure that ICLA is appropriately managed for the benefit of all stakeholders and offer their services to the organisation on a voluntary basis.

The primary role of the Board of Directors is governance, compliance, review and monitoring, risk assessment and focusing on the broader issues of organisational purpose, including the setting and monitoring of strategic directions and the establishment and monitoring of Board of Management level policies.

There is a formal selection criteria for new board members to ensure that ICLA has the optimum mix of skills, experience and expertise on the board. All directors are expected to actively participate not just at board meetings but also in areas applicable to their skills and expertise. ICLA has an active Finance and Audit Committee that also manages all Risk areas. ICLA has a Code of Conduct Policy and Charter for the board. Each director will be asked to undertake a self evaluation of their performance on the board each year, an evaluation of other directors and an evaluation of the board as a whole.
