Our Staff

We believe that all staff should be a part of the ICLA story and our goal is to develop an efficient and innovative workforce where all staff enjoy working for ICLA and are able to have career opportunities and fulfilling jobs. Finding and keeping the right staff is often one of the most difficult parts of operating the organisation. Our aim is to support a culture of involvement and achievement to ensure a positive staff culture.

ICLA is committed to the provision a high quality service for the benefit of our clients and the organisation’s Code of Conduct supports our values by emphasizing the principles of responsible governance and is designed to help employees understand their responsibilities and obligations.

ICLA has a commitment to ensure that all services provided are carried out ethically with integrity, efficiency, effectiveness, fairness, impartiality and economy. Performance management at ICLA is based on the principle of shared responsibility and the provision of back-up for each staff member. ICLA encourages and supports the ongoing training and career development of its staff through the performance management process and study assistance is available to all permanent staff.

The organisation encourages staff to join committees such as the OH&S Committee and provides them with management training and expertise to become effective members.

We all are continually growing and changing and motivating our employees is an ongoing process. Establishing a culture of achievement will ensure our staff aspire to achieve the best results possible and create a work environment that provides them with an opportunity to achieve their goals. COMMITTEES

Occupational Health and Safety Committee (OHS Committee)

The Committee has a wide range of responsibilities including improving standards, implementing and reviewing policies and procedures planning, training, review and oversight. The OHS Committee is the principal forum wherein Management consults with employees on broad health and safety and policy issues.

Members of the OHS Committee comprise of employee representatives from all facilities sectors and service areas within the organisation, the OHS Coordinator and a management representative.

Client Risk Management Committee

The purpose of the Client Risk Management Committee is to assist staff to manage risks that may arise while providing support to clients whatever the situation or location so that adverse effects on lifestyle, health, safety and wellbeing are minimised.

VOLUNTEERS

ICLA thanks all the volunteers who have worked in our houses, gardens and office. Great improvements and upgrades have been made to the houses, both internally and externally and gardens. In addition volunteers have also provided us with valuable office assistance.

ICLA has a Volunteer Manager and a comprehensive Volunteer Policy and Procedures Manual.
